The Young Entertainer

June 15-18, 2026 (Ages 11-14)

Confident hosting is a life skill—and a joyful one to learn early.

In this hands-on four-day camp, students step into the role of thoughtful hosts as they learn how to plan, prepare, and present simple yet beautiful gatherings for friends and family. Campers will create crowd-pleasing appetizers, assemble charcuterie boards, mix refreshing mocktails, and style welcoming tables while discovering how small details make guests feel special.

Throughout the week, students draw inspiration from Barefoot Contessa Family Style by Ina Garten, learning approachable entertaining techniques that turn everyday meals into meaningful shared experiences. Each camper will also receive their own copy of Menus: A Book for Your Meals and Memories by Jacques Pépin, a keepsake cookbook designed to help them record menus, celebrate traditions, and begin building their own signature gatherings for years to come.

The camp concludes with a celebratory hosted showcase where students present what they’ve created together.

This camp helps students develop confidence, independence, and social leadership skills through real-world experiences in planning and hosting. Campers strengthen organization, teamwork, and creative decision-making while learning how to contribute meaningfully when friends and family gather. With two inspiring cookbooks to take home—one for cooking and one for preserving their own menu traditions—students leave not only with practical kitchen skills, but with tools that encourage lifelong hospitality and connection around the table.
